Nissan D21 - How to change fuel filter - Tommk4

As suggested in a previous post I have decided to change the fuel filter on my pickup.

Now, ive got the part, but before I fit it, is there anything I should know? is there any precedure etc i should follow or is it just a case of... unsrew old one, fit new one, done??

Fill it with fresh diesel not the old stuff out of the old filter.

Which engine is this td-23 or td-27?

Valve clearances are 14 thou for inlet and exhaust better to check these as the do get tight and you may lose power as in your other thread.

A new air filter all should be good, the td-27 is a cracking bit of kit and well loved by many a real workhorse and must be good it's standard fitment throughtout the world in nissan forktrucks.

Cheers, not sure what engine it is. All i know is that its a 2.5 non turbo and that they must have gone out of use some time ago as Its a bit of a struggle to find basic parts such as filters.

Where are you shopping local motor factors?

Try internet for nissan specialist, td-25 and the td range i expect is the same filter.

If you can identify the engine this would be a huge help to get the parts mate.
