Worth your weight in salt? Salt & the subrames - oilrag

Funny how it`s been cherished over thousands of years - although if you were a pre-cow of pre-history it must have been great to have a lick of the salt cake - if your tongue had gone blue due to lack of minerals.

`Worth your weight in salt`

Wonder what those dedicated ( and perhaps dessicated) camels would make of that - humping salt from the Gobi - if they saw the millions of tons dumped by `gritters` every Winter in the UK.

It was still coming out of the M1 road surface last week in the rain. You would think wild life would have licked it all off by now. Although maybe they get all the salt they need by coming into town at night - licking fast food wrappers and eating the odd half finished burger.
