Hi

It looks like the problems I'm experiencing with my car (issue posted in technical forum) may be down to plugs, HT leads and a good service.

I know it varies, but how much would I expect to be paying for:

  • a full service (what does this include?)
  • spark plugs (and leads?)
  • set of brake flexi-hoses for the brake pipes

Would appreciate if someone could give an indication of what to shell out for the above, inclusive of parts & labour.

depends if you want to do the jobs yourself

my 1999 1.25 zetec

oil filter £4.89

oil (5w30) £21.99

plugs £14

air filter £8

garage wanted £138 for service i saved a packet getting parts from factors an doing service myself

brake flexi hoses,mine failed its last mot on two rear perished brake hoses garage wanted £35 per hose and £20 to fit,i went the same factors and got the hoses for £11 each fitted them myself mate helped me bleed them afterwards ,guy in mot station had a rite face on when i took it back for retest
