Ford/Focus - Coolant Leak from 1.6 zetec on unknown part :( - kennysarmy

Hi people,

Have a cooland leak!

Have topped up and this morning noticed I think where it is coming from.

Engine is a petrol 1.6 zetec on an 06 plate.

Between the coolant reservoir and the engine is a circular metal component with a metal bracket over it...the coolant seems to be leaking out the top of it...

Can anyone let me know what this component is?

Its difficult to tell from your description but its most likley to be the thermostat housing or the water pump...take it to a garage, even if its the pump it shouldnt be too costly.

Hi did you manage to find out what the part was? i have the same leak on mine is a 2006 ford focus 1.8 tdci i would be greatfull for any help thank you.
