97 1.4 reset the ECU - Phil48
When you have had the battery off for half hour and then run the engine for 20 - 30 mins at idle -

Is it important to switch off then take it for a run or can it just be taken for a run after idle without switching off?

97 1.4 reset the ECU - percy
96 Mondeo (petrol), warm up from idling, then take for a run using the full rev range,
I seem to remember. I never went too high with the revs though for fear of damaging an elderly engine!

start & allow to idle for 5 mins & then drive as normal for 10 mins.
