Making a profit in 2009 must have been no mean feat. But for me, the most interesting line in the BBC report was"The firm is also enjoying goodwill for avoiding bankruptcy, analysts said."
That suggests that buyers were more likely to buy Fords because they approved of the behaviour of the FMC. I wonder if that is really true, and how the analysts are able to make such a claim.

More along the lines of they bought a Ford 'cos it will still be around in a couple of years to honour Warranties and find bits etc...
