97 1.9td engine rattle - arthur john

my 406 1.9 turbo diesel makes a rattling noise on start up, then dissapears when revved.
it also makes this noise at low gears when engine is under load. the car has done 85,000 miles and i have changed oil and air filter recently.

Check the crankshaft pulley, mine failed at that mileage with those symptoms.
