There was a recent post on the subject of calcium batteries, where a car's LCD low battery display was mentioned. As a low mileage driver I would find this feature extremely useful, and wonder if it is common on cars built more recently than my 2002 Mazda6?
Thanks.

Not had it on any of my cars since they did away with a volt meter.
However, you can buy them, and they are easy to fit.

My 1994 SAAB 900 had this, current Volvo too.
I would expect it today on any car with a drivers information display, not just the average and current fuel consumption type things but those that warn of low washer bottle content etc...
Of the mainstream cars I would think the current Mondeo and Insignias would have this due to product sharing with Volvo and SAAB respectively.

now being involved in classic "english" bikes , the battery charging/volts is a problem,
i use one of those www.norbsa02.freeuk.com/Batterystatusmonitor.jpg tiz a small led that changes colour , from flashing red (8v) thru red yellow green then flashing green (overcharge) , this is better than an ammetter , so good that i have one on my old pug 106
