Well, I thought it was worth an exclamation that someone wants a Haynes manual for a Silver Shadow. Maybe I'm losing my grasp of English as she is spoken...

Yes the majority who have owned one would not want there finger's dirty.!!!

Sorry for misleading you gentlemen with my attempt at sarcasm or irony.
I DID achive a "B" grade in "A" level English a no of years ago, after one year two.
|
That should read "one year, too"?
I only got an "O" level :-)

|
Nothing listed on their web site tinyurl.com/yb5buxg
Nor under "Bentley". Well it's a thought!

Ah well spotted there JH
It was a deliberate error, you are aware?
Seeing as the comment was about the English language I was not going to make that particular mistake, a pun, of sorts, if you like, as I did.
Tempted to put were for was there.
cheers

...and this, which is really cool!

Bagpuss,
I reckon tinyurl.com/5gw7sq tops that. Nothing at all to do with Rolls Royce, sorry about that :-)

I wonder if it's too late to ask for this for Christmas:
tinyurl.com/y85mhvm
|
Mrs P bought me that last Christmas along with the Spitfire one.
|
They do one for the bf-109 magic soon we can all build are own set of warbirds and start a war!!
|
I didn't see the Spitfire one, but the Messerschmitt 109 one might be good for one of my German mates!

Brilliant, thank you(!). That didn't come up when I tried French Google but I see they are multi-language anyway. I'll pass the link on this evening at the apero hour. My reputation remains intact(!)

Anyone else thinh these "Haynes" manuels are pretty useless?
Ok for some information, but the one for the Renault 5, for instance, explained how to remove the bonnet, which even for an amateur was self evident.
However they did NOT find it necessary to comment that there were 14, yes 14 studs/bolts holding the bellhousing to the engine and that the top two were impossible to see and from what I recall very difficult to reach. I read & re read the relevent section over & over. NOPE
i have found this to be repeated for the few other cars I have owned & mechaniced
|
d, I'd agree with that. The thing that always got me was the close up photo which gave no idea of where the dickens the part was.

I posted this on here before, but the Haynes method of adjusting the alternator belt on a Saxo involves removing half the front of the car. It actually takes one minute from underneath with no dismantling involved.
