Hello -
The brake lights dont come on until I've pressed the brake almost all the way down.
The brake light switch seems to look like this one:

I just cant see how to adjust the darn thing though - or if its even possible to.
Anyone know?

they aren't adjustable. If I remember rightly they are held on with a plastic nut, check this isnt loose and allowing the switch to slide backwards through its hole. If it is in tight then check nothing is bent that holds or presses the switch.
If you want to test the switch put a meter across the 2 terminals on the plug and press it to see when the continuity stops and starts. If its not almost immediate then the switch is faulty.

Oh really? I wouldnt know how to test it - theres no way to adjust the thing then. Guess its a garage job.
