Hi All,
After browsing the web i still cant find any pages to help me till i found this great site, well the problem i have got is on my dashboard my speedo / revs / fuel lights do not work and my heater control panel don't light up either, my little strip with the oil, airbag, abs, and service that's fine, and also when i turn cruise control on that will light up on the dash just not the speedo etc, i was wondering if anyone can help me in to what to be looking for,
my husband says its probably a bulb, but don't want him to massacre the dash,
if anyone can help i would be great-full dont think it helps that i haven't got a handbook just having a good guess at what the buttons do :)

yes its just the illumination, just on my speedo dials and heater dials, my husband thinks it is probably just a couple of bulbs out but to be honest i have no idea how to check this and take the dash apart properly without breaking something :(,

all out all at the same time? have you checked the dimmer switch.

thankyou for the reply, yes they are all out at the same time, this is going to sound really daft but where is the dimmer switch? i only brought the car recently, and to be honest theres more buttons than you get in a bag of cadburys!

Im presuming that is the scrolling button that has 2 dots i have tried that and it just turns the interior lights on and off,
the only other thing which is probably unrelated is my aircon and recirculation button have the lights flashing but im presuming thats just because the aircon needs re-gassing, not to do with the speedo lights, apart from these things everything else seems to be fully functioning,

Yes that's the switch that should dim the dash light when lights on but when all the way up interior light stays on and all the way down interior light stays off even with the door open. Have you checked the fuses?
The panel lights you have flashing is when it needs to pass a cool down test so yes you will need the air con to work before you can reset them lights.

thanks for getting back, sorry i havnt replied sooner been in bed with the lurgy,
my husband said he has checked the fuses and they seem to be fine,
im at a loss as to what it is, maybe a loose wire, or bulbs?
at the moment at night im having to drive around with a push on under worktop light on my dash so i can see my speedo :)
