Run away. lots more cars out there.
Unless everything in the fuel system has been replaced,,, there MAY be future and very expensive consequences.. eg fuel pumps bearings fail and send slivers of metal into injectors.
Frankly unless you get a warranty which SPECIFICALLY covers the issue of fuel contamination - and you are unlikely to - you are buying a car and the seller has warned you of a MAJOR issue.
If it then goes wrong and you face a bill of £4,000 to replace part not under warranty, you have no chance of redress.
But it's your money.
