01 2.0 Snick when engine warm when accelerating - Yoby
Hi - just wondered whether anyone has any thoughts as what might be causing this. Had new plugs, leads and new (Ford) coilpack - all fine when first starting out on a drive. Once engine is warm I get a snick / misfire when (for example) pulling away at a roundabout. Seems to happen in all gears if you suddenly put your foot on the gas. In diagnostic mode I am getting around 13.7v so think everything is charging ok. Am running out of ideas now - it's just an annoying problem.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Sounds like a fuel/air problem.....too much air, not enough fuel at the time you try to accelerate. Worth checking the bit's that control that aspect e.g. MAFS etc..

P.S. Might also be worth searching for any small leaks in the inlet side.
