BMW 520d M `07 plate - power & emission - romet
Hi,
I`ve recently purchased a BMW 520d M automatic June 07.
Prior to this I`ve checked different sites review for power bhp and emission.
What I`ve found out after different searches on internet was: power - 177bhp and 147g/km CO2 emissions.
Even when I insured the car they told me that comes up on their system as 177 bhp.
Today I`ve received from DVLA my V5C and Iwas very urprised to find out that:
instead of 177bhp only have 163= 120 kW ; and another disapointement was on emissions: instead of 147g/km CO2, car band tax C, I have 185 g/km CO2 car band tax E.
Is that what all BMW 520d M automatic `07 have?

Thanks!!!!

It came with both 160 and 177 bhp from the listings I can see. The 160 bhp does indeed have the 185 emissions. The 177 bhp model has emissions of 149. Crazy stuff and proof if any where needed to do your reseach.

IIRC 2007 was when the 5 series was facelifted (LCI in BMW speak...).

However I seem to remember that the 'Efficient Dynamics' version of the 2.0 diesel, which is the one with 177bhp and lower emissions, was not launched until a little later. So you either have a pre-facelift car that'd been sitting around a while before it was registered, or an early facelift one I think...

The 177HP version with the reduced emmisions was available from September 2007 onwards. Maybe a few ex-demonstrators could have got to market sooner, but not soon enough for the one you bought I beleive.

I was looking to buy 'nearly-new' when I got my Touring 520d a year ago, but all of what was available had the 163hp engine.
