98 1.8 replacing rear anti roll bar bushes - Tell
I'm going to have a go at replacing these later today.

Any tips or advice?

Are the bushes themselves typically hard to get in/out?

Am I likely to find the bolts/nuts seized up?

Unless you're used to working on such things, I'd strongly advice to get someone experienced to do them.

You'll probably need to drill a lot of holes through the rubber part of the old bushes and then attack them with an old wood chisel to get them out.

for some reason I read this as a Mondeo III rear subframe bushes. I have no idea at all about the Mk II anti roll bar bushes.

I'll answer my own question.

Access is good and all other things being equal it would be a quick easy job.

However, all other things aren't equal - the bush was well stuck to the bolt that comes through the anti roll bar leaving two options: a) Blowlamp and let thermal expansion do its work or b) Hacksaw the bolt off and replace it.

It was a bit close to the petrol tank for carefree blowlamp work but as it happened grit, determination and the blowlamp did do the job.

I'll post some images in case anyone else needs to try this job.
