my son was about to head out last night with our peugeot 306 1900diesel meridian, the car started as normal but neither headlights, sidelights or rear lights worked, not even the headlight flasher worked. The indicators, work (same stalk) the brake and reversing
lights work. The hazards work.
I have checked the fuses, all ok, has anyone any idea where else to look? Could an earth fault cause this total failure?
cheers

the best place to check first is the multi connector plug which is connected to the stalk. you will probably have to remove the shrouding around the steering wheel to get access to it. i take it there are no dashboard lights as well. check the plug is connected securely and this may involve removing the connection and making sure the terminals havent flared appart. good luck. take any precautions involving the air bag around this area.
