96 1.3 Light problems - Koopz


When the lights are off (daytime) everytime i press my brakes my headlights and dashboard come on for as long as i press the brakes.

At night when all the lights are on this doesn't happen but my brake lights don't work

Any help would be great

Earthing problem I'd guess. When the brake lights are switched on there's not a good earth return. Start at the rear lights and check the earth connections.

Have you recently changed any of the rear bulbs? If so, have you mistakenly fitted single filament bulbs where there should be actually twin filament bulbs? Or maybe the two contacts in the base of the bulb holder are touching one another.

This was the problem, i had changed the bulb last week and put a single elemant bulb in the twin socket, problem solved now
