Hi there .....
Our 04 807 Executive 2.0HDi is throwing up an odd fault warning that isn't mentioned in the handbook.
When the car is started, the LCD infor panel above the the stereo shows "Brake Fault" and beeps. The handbook discusses this in conjunction with other warning lights, but in this instance nothing else shows, purely the LCD warning.
Does anyone have any idea where to start looking?

Electrical gremlins are a Citroen speciality. Check the fluid level anyway - although that shold have flagged a more specific message.
Getting the BSI read for any codes might also throw up something.
Are all the other brake warning bulbs functional?

I've not got any way of reading the fault codes, so got to get it booked in to my local dealer. All brake warning lights seem to light when the ignition is put on, so no particular reason to suspect them at the moment ....... Will check fluid levels when I get a chance - awkward at present 'cos I broke my ankle two weeks ago !!
Dealer wants £35 to plug it in and do preliminary investiogations?
