Inflatable Doll in Car Crash Shocker - Nsar

I'm dog tired so my cheap pun making abilities are much diminished today, so perhaps someone else could do the honours with this rather embarrassing car crash.

I was in a club in Covent Garden with my wife and two friends and got chatting to a blow-up doll that a stag party had abandoned. I took pity on her and offered to take her home at the end of the night and, I kid you not, a minicab driver actually refused to let us in because he wasn't licenced to carry 5 people.

I did eventually get her home where she hung around in the bedroom for several months in my wife's underwear before some thug popped her.

Unfortunately she is not self-inflatable so spontaneous romance is difficult.

Gunners v Tottenham about 20 years back, there were a few dozen inflatable women being 'boinged' about in Gunners end, wearing Spurs shirts, with the crowd singing "Are you watching, David Pleat?"

This was obviosuly aftetr Pleat's SECOND nabbing for kerb crawling. (Motoring reference!)

For those too young to recall, the FIRST headline in the Currant Bun was
"SPURS BOSS CAUGHT KERB CRAWLING", and the seond was "SPURS BOSS CAUGHT KERB CRAWLING... AGAIN!"

First of all, please forgive me for mentioning something about the car on this thread...
but is that a mark 1 Fiesta? I didn't think for the life of me that any would still be on the road nowadays.

I seem to remember they were delivered fresh from the garage with rusty wings and sills!

At least my aunt's 950cc Popular Plus (I think that meant it got a heated windscreen) did! Oh and it was lovely beige colour - are there any beige colours now or are they called pearelescent magnolia or something like that?

Our family had a black one - NAB 606T anybody? - good little car.

First Ford we had with fwd and transverse engine, also tinted windows.

Well, back then you only got those on a Granada Ghia.

Was the Fiesta the first supermini?

Actually, when you come to think of it, imagine how rubbish life must have to be to have a Mk1 Fiesta and only the company of an inflatable doll to look forward to.......Then you go and crash it and appear in the newspapers........Not especially good for the old CV really..

One of the many good aspects of this site is the intolerance to swearing. Is swearing, or at least only slightly disguised examples, now allowed? F***ing shame I think.

For the record, I'm not averse to a bit of swearing, especially when hammers and fingers are involved.
