Hi Guys,
My ford escort 1.6 16v S reg has developed an intermittent flickering of the main beams when indicating and occasionally they flicker for no reason (I haven't touched the lever at all), what could this be? and is it easy to fix.

sounds like an earthing fault on your front lights ,the escort stalk switch is also prone to faults which cause a variety of problems

Hi all
Thought I'd update you on the above problem. It was the Indicator switch. I bought myself a Haynes manual, ordered the part which came last week and have replaced it myself, took me about 3/4 of an hour and it worked 1st time. I'm really chuffed about it as it's the first time Ive attempted any repair on the car and it saved me abit of cash, so well pleased.
