No the ABS light does not come on, but i have still changed the sensor.
Do you know where the trip computer info is stored.

The IPK ( instrument pack ) can be put into a diagnostic mode without the use of equipment & will store any fault occurences & you can also put the pack through a complete test procedure.
It may be worth checking the wiring under the battery where the wiring couples to the ABS, they suffer water ingress.
Has the car still got its original radio? if after market fitted or a fault with radio gear this can effect the speedo as the speed signal goes throuh the radio to the IPK.
Failing that I would recomend finding a dealer that has T4 diagnostic gear & that knows how to use it.
Trip info stored in IPK & mileage stored in LCM, (lighting control module, headlamp switch)
