Cat. D write off value of a 05 1.6 VVT petrol auto - nstofberg
Hi all,

Last year June i bought a Renault Megane 1.6 VVT Dynamique Automatic (petrol).
It was previously a Cat D write off however it has been perfectly repaired and has an engineers report.

Done approx 33000 miles.
Runs beautifully and never had any problems.

How much do you think i can get for it?
My partner and I are looking to upgrade to a Eos hence the sale.

I paid just under £10 000 for it in June last year when I bought it.
It had already had the repairs done....

So how much do you think I can sell it for now??

Thats great. thanks.
i'd say the car is in average to good condition but with a previous Cat D.

Looking at those figures quoted by Glass and what 05 plate ones are fetching on autotrader i'd go with a bid of approx £5k for yours now. It may seem low compared to what you paid last year but if decent clean examples can be had for £6.5k then there is no way you'd pay anywhere near that for one thats previously been written off.
