I thought there must be something wrong this morning. A34 northbound between Congleton and Alderley Edge was very busy.

In case it wasn't obvious, posted as there seemed a reasonable chance that someone here would know someone who would want to avoid the area on a bank holiday Friday - not as some kind of virtual rubbernecking

Road was "clear" at lunchtime but to be avoided as there was a few miles of standing traffic northbound.
Best run I have had for a long time southbound.
