2004 2.0T Brake Pad warning on info screen - Timbo66
I got brake pad warning message on info screen this week, so changed front brake pads. Also checked rear ones, & they are okay. However, still getting brake pad warning message. Anyone know how I get rid of this? I assumed it would sensor the fact that new pads had been fitted.

The sensor is separate, and therefore you have to purchase it separately and replace it as well.

ps, sensor is only on the front brake(s). There may well be one each side, or just one on the one side (can't remember which)

Alternatively the wire which connects the wear sensor into the wiring loom may have broken, have a look in the front wheel arches and check for breaks. More likely to be lack of wear sensor replacement though as DD suggests.
