Front brakes grinding and stick on though do gradually ease off. Brake pedal is sitting lower and lower.
Any ideas/advice gratefully received.
Cheers.
Graham.

Get it looked at - smartish?

Forgot to say, Hydraulic reservoir gauge shows wee level guide sitting high of the two red marker lines - could this be related? Should you see oil in this gausge? (appears to be air).
Cheers.

It sounds like the brake pads have worn out and you are using the backing pads to stop. Until you have checked this out, or got someone to check it for you, you are brakeing on borrowed time. The sticking can be caused by the backing plate "grabbing" the disc.
The hydraulic reservoir level is checked with the suspension in its highest position and with the engine ticking over. The top disc should then be between the two markers. (The brass disc acts as a contact for the low level switch). With the suspension at normal ride height the level will appear to be far too high. This is normal. There should be no fluid visible in the tube, just air. Don't worry if the level is a bit high when checked as above, it won't matter.
In all honesty, I think that you should get the front brakes checked asap. If one side decides to jam on, you will be in serious trouble.

Thorough brake overhaul NOW!!!
Sticking on sounds like a caliper issue, if this in turn causes the pads to drag they will inevitably wear prematurely leading to noise and disc damage.
Like mjm says to check the reservoir, but bear in mind the float mechanism can stick.
