Hi
Please can you advise.
C Class estate, 1999.
I have had a flat battery. RAC have advised that this is due to an intermittent fault with the cooling fan coming on after the engine has been switched off. Removal of the relevant fuse prevents this happening and RAC guy advised to take this out when parked to prevent battery running down again. Sometimes the fan comes on when the engine is switched off and other times it doesn't.
Any advice what this could be?
Many thanks

It is possible that the cooling fan module is faulty. This may be attached to the cooling fan motor itself or may be located on the inner wing panel.(models vary). It is usually a silver aluminium box with large diameter cables connected to it.hth
