Some 3 months ago, I took it to my local independent Citroen man with an Engine Fault message. He diagnosed a faulty air-mass sensor as a result of water ingress - the air filter was soaking wet. He replaced both. It seemed fine for a while but recently the same message has appeared fairly regularly in cold and wet weather, resetting itself after a day or two. The air intake appears to be low down at the near-side of the engine compartment and I wonder if there could be a possibility of re-positioning it or fitting some sort of baffle. Would this cure the problem? Anyone any ideas please? HJ says he has not come across the problem before.

Far better to get the fault-codes read and see what's putting the light on - there are 3000 codes. I hope that was a dealer's MAF - as just about every other one is now a fake.

The only safe source is now the dealers.

There's an avalanche of fakes sloshing about and there's no easy way to tell - until you look at the signals from them......

hi i have engine light on my picasso 1.6 54 plate i had loss of power too any ideas wat it could be started it up today seems like its missing to me and theres a knocking sound when its ticking over

You need a diagnostic. Have a look on frenchcarforum, there's a comprehensive map of Peugeot and Citroen owners with the proper diagnostic kit.
