1999 - hfx sagem ecu will not start - jimster

i have a motor that will not run i have had the ecu tested, i have also tried a control relay and a crank sensor all to no avail!!!! i am getting a single injector pulse when i first crank the engine but thats it. plaease help i can't take much more

hi Jimster, have you checked crank signal to ECU whilst continually cranking? have you checked relay to see if the relay is staying in?, have you checked coils & wiring to coils incase you have a short. wiring a little notorius on Peugeots. have you carried out test's on ign switch as they do wear? is it still imobilized?. Have you tried a spare key?. I bet its got two alarm systems, say's me with a smile.

yes indeed it has a toad alarm fitted but when the ecu was sent away they put a blank chip in and bypassed the immobiser.

i have continuity between the coil pack and the control relay and between the injectors and the control relay.
what made you say about the two alarms?

Hi Jimster, Have you checked for a feed to injector & have you checked to see if ECU is switching injectors? .Are you getting a spark? I still think you need to check engine live data perhaps by towing it down the road . May have a wire gone to earth pulling a signal down.
