"If it only takes 15 mins then you will pay £15 + vat"
i doubt it dont you?
my experience of main dealers (accepted it was citroen {now spelt correctly!}) is slow and and expensive, and not that good....

It only takes two minutes to get the machine out of its box - but I doubt many Ford dealers will bother unless they get at least £60 for doing that. I have seen local garages charging anything from £30 (small independent) to £150 (local BMW). Of course its once the code has been read that the fun really starts...!

not really, if its gonna hurt it can go on ebay, i paid less than trade for it anyway! lol

if you run 'bangers' why do you even approach main dealers?, would you be able to afford their bills to put right what they found wrong?
You pay a main dealer to get the stamps in the service book, surely?

According to another thread this chap paid over £4k for the Mondeo - so its not actually a banger...
Snag is that when it comes to TDCI diagnostics you may not have much of a choice of alternatives to Ford, depending on where you live.

That's why I'm still running an IDI XM!

you dont need DEALER stamps in a book to comply for warranty, a vehicle has to be serviced in line with manufacturers guidelines, i had a brand new citroen which had its first service at citroen but after paying £188 for a filter and a can of oil it never went there again, except for warranty in its 2 year/100,000 miles of my ownership
and go back it did
again
again
again
again
and again
