1997 1.3 - heater only blowing cold air - pebbles
can anyone help me please.my heater is onlying blowing cold air all the time.

usuall culprit is the eltric heater valve on the bulkhead this allows (or not)water into the heater matrix you wont be able to check if you are getting a signal from the heater switch because its a pulse signal that controls it, there has been a few instances where the heater control unit on the dash has caused problems but start with the valve

Nearly always the HCV, I did buy a replacement panel though just in case as I have a ghia and its an expensive paert (paid £20 of ebay)

HCV = Heater Control Valve ?

Agree with the comments above. Ebay valve worked fine for me, and was half the price of a Ford one.

Worth getting a Haynes manual if you don't have one, as you have to remove the bulkhead to get the valve out. It's really not difficult, but it's fiddly and there are fastenings you would struggle to find without the book. It also helps if you follow the correct order.

Allow an hour, it should take less.
