I thought 122mph on single c/way was fast - Falkirk Bairn
A driver has admitted reaching speeds of up to 130mph on a 60mph-limit rural road in south west Scotland.
Bernard Doherty, 21, from Stockport, Greater Manchester also drove at 90mph through Ecclefechan village in April.

He admitted driving dangerously on the B7076 road with a seven-year-old girl unrestrained in the back seat.

Doherty also pleaded guilty at Dumfries Sheriff Court to driving while disqualified and without insurance. The case was continued until 5 December.

The court was told that he hit speeds of up to 90mph while driving through the small village with pedestrians and parked cars nearby.

He then reached 130mph on a section of the road where the limit was 60mph while people were on the grass verge walking their dogs.

Doherty admitted the charges and his case was continued for background reports.

It is.

So is 130, but not really significantly faster.

90 through villages? Yawn.

Used to be not exactly commonplace, but done when people felt sprauncy.

Not a thing you could do all that easily today though, the roads being so clogged with the Typical British Mimser.

You have to envy this guy for getting a clear run.

Not firmly, but in the general region as so often.

I hate that pink smiley.

I suspect it comes up a bit too soon when one is really in good form. Makes you think big bumboclaat is watching you.
