Noticed recently that one of the alloys on my Fabia vrS was showing signs of corrosion. Car is 2 1/2 years old.

Went to dealer (Henrys in Glasgow) who took photos of it and emailed away. Skoda authorised replacement under warranty. Henrys allowed me to collect the wheel, take it home and apply loads of Autoglyms finest to it to save me time in the long run with cleaning. Took it back and as well as changing the wheel over, they also valeted the car inc wet clean of the seats (for those of you that have seen vrS seats you will know how much of a bonus this was).

So thank you to Skoda and Henrys, only downside was that the alloy which got replaced was the only one that SWMBO hasn't already kerbed! So I now have one spotless alloy and 3 bright, shiny but with scrapes on them alloys!

Well done Skoda for an effortless warranty claim.

Only 1 x wheel needing replaced - That is better than Toyota - Son + neighbours have all had 4 x wheels replaced for corrosion and some several times

Good to hear.

A friend had problems with wheels going out of true on his Celica 190 and had a heck of a job getting them changed under warranty even though they were completely unmarked.

It's nice when manufacturers look after people. The only warranty claim on the Scenic (for a sunroof guide) was hassle free as well. Makes all the difference.

I've long said that it's not the problems we remember, it's how they are dealt with. One minor fault that you struggle to get resolved will be more irritating than four that get resolved instantly.

Cheers

Be careful with it though Bobby, from what I've seen on that TV advert, they are only made out of sponge cake and marzipan.
Sorry, somebody had to do it.........
