As per the title, I am (very) tempted by a low mileage (less than 1,000) nearly new (2006 56) Toyota Corolla T-Sport Compressor. Does anyone have experience of one of these? And what should I be paying?. Thanks.

We have a Corolla T3 in the family (3 years old from new) and have been very disappointed with the build quality and problems the dealer has had to fix.
Other than that - sorry no experience of the Compressor.

I had a compressor and i loved it however there are a few things to consider;
Despite being supercharged it isn't a bucket load quicker than a standard / cheaper T-Sport. It drinks a lot of petrol, you'll get around 22-26Mpg realistically, its rather hard riding and noisy on the MW (which i guess is par for the course with most Hot Hatches).
I know the one i had went to the traders for around 10k and it was a late 55 plate that came in on dealer demo. Depends when your 56 was registered. List they are 20k which is hideous so expect to pay between 12-14k.
Personally, it was very quick and lots of fun to drive, quicker than most things on the road and drove well keeping it in gear, the toyota's love to rev high. I would seriously have a look at type-r of similar value too before you make a decision.
I also owned a T3 standard corolla and a T-Sport and i can't fault any of them. I never had any problems with any of them, so cheap to run and service, toyota dealer best i've ever encountered. Of all the other cars like Mercedes, Volvo, VW, Renault, Seat we've had, i love Toyota's the most, great cars and good at everything in pretty much all areas. They are criticized for some things but in my (probably biased view) they make very good, solid reliable cars that at least dont look pants so that suits me fine. So much so i've just bought a brand new T180 to sit next to a Rav on the drive.

I almost forgot, the compressor only takes uber expensive petrol 99ron fuel, shell v-power / tesco super-unleaded. Runs like a bag of nails on anything less.
So probably more expensive per Ltr than diesel and only 320 miles to a tank @ a/v £47 complete fill up. Best to be honest with you so you know the score.

Thanks - lots of helpful stuff there. I hadn't quite bargained on the mpg or the 98/99 RON. On a positive note, the price looks right, but it does make me wonder what one will be worth at 3 years/36000 miles? Or has the worst of the depreciation happened in the first 6 months - 12 months?

To Traders the car has lost 10k in a little over a year and a half. You will probably loose another 1k per year for up to 5 years. The bulk has defiantly gone because they just didnt shift the units very fast when the car was launched.
You also have to bear in mind this wont be a high millage car, expect to see some engine wear about 80k miles due to the stress the supercharger puts on the standard 1.8ltr engine. This was coming from a very good toyota mechanic.
