replacing brake pads (ABS) - topbloke
not much has changed, the only thing to really remmember is to not reverse the brake fluid back to the m/cyl, I clamp the pipe (flexi) open bleed nipple and return the pistons as far in as they can go, close nipple remove clamp replace the pads after cleaning pad carrier and reassemble then pump brake until hard (try not to push more than halfway ( can cause problems with seals flipping, debris etc) onto the rears if they are pads and disc's at the rear you will need a tool to rewind the pistons back into the caliper, the pistons have two/four slots in them to facilitate this, you may find that the pad has a lug on the metal back for the piston to locate on so make sure that they are alligned don't forget to clamp the pipe when you wind them back and a half pump on the pedal (till hard) when you have finnished, both pistons on this vehicle (rear) will rotate clockwise , any other questions i will try to answer
