Skoda 'Cake' TV ad - adam f
just seen my second favourite car advert. my first being the one honda made where car parts roll onto others etc etc. well its the new skoda ad, where they build a car out of cakes and sweets. simply amazing

Yeah - certainly the most off-beat car ad for a while - I genuinely couldn't work out the product until the final shot - the new Fabia made from cake ingredients.

The looks (or rather, presentation ) of the new Fabia make it look like the 'poor' man's Mini - duo tone bodywork and all.

I've seen this advert a few times in the last couple of days and it leaves me hungry every time!
For those who haven't a clue what I'm on about, it's the new Skoda Fabia advert which shows a full size Fabia replica being constructed from various bits of bakery produce, and the end result IMHO is 'Fab', i wonder what they did with it all after filming?! mmmmmm

Superb ad. On first glance I though it looked as though the shots towards the end had replaced the cake car with a real one covered in icing, such as when lowering the bonnet. But looking closer, or watching the 'making of' video on the website, the car is entirely cake. The slightly irregular tyre tread means I think they're cake too.

Has been done before on a much smaller scale. For my 4th birthday, my mum made a pair of Ford Sierra cakes (my favourite car at the time). Apparently I enjoyed eating the marzipan wheels.

It's probably un-edible, I they probably had to cram it full of preservatives and other stuff to make it suitable for suitable around for ages and to give it the right composition for making a car out of.

Just taken it in for the first time.

Don't know how good it is at selling Skodas, but I think it's utterly charming.

Perhaps they can bring Hansel and Gretel into the evo version :o)

Don't see many adverts these days thanks to Sky+

If by chance I had of caught that advert, I would have channel hopped within 5 seconds of it being on the screen or at the very least reached for the mute button. What an awful song.

In "The Sun" apart from a similar article to the one in the Daily Mail, they also listed some rejected headlines:-

By the way, a real Skoda Fabia is £7,990 ? the yummy one cost £500,000.
