Re the right handed swordsman I saw an interesting programme about Welsh castles in which it was noted that in most cases the spiral stairs turned to the right as one ascended them. This was (allegedly) so that a right handed defender had his sword arm on the outside of the spiral and had an easier sweep of his sword, whereas the attacker, coming up the stairs, had his sword action restricted by being close to the centre of the spiral. Could be true?

How come so many drivers switch to driving in the far right lane on motorways and dual-carriages ? Thought they were for overtaking only.
The invaders of the Falkland Islands forced the locals to switch sides, pah !
