Had brake pads and discs replaced 3 months ago due to brake judder it failed MOT, it seems to have started to come back checked front brakes anybody know what thickness new discs should be? only the discs appear quite worn also the pad housing is scraping against the face of disc.

sounds like piston has been sticking
the fitter of the discs and pads should have checked this if this is the problem
bad show all round
take it back and ask for their opinion
stand your ground as well
10 mm minimum disc for solid
18mm for vented (not seen one with vented though)
