Micra 1996 heater blower - hugh946

The heater blower motor in my 1996 Micra will now only run on the fastest of its four settings. Is this an easy problem to sort? Any help gratefully received, thanks

Your resistor pack has packed up. I bought one a few months ago for a Sunny, and it was about £35. Not cheap I know.

It was a piece of cake on the Sunny - just on the passenger side near the dash. Don't know about Micra location sorry.

Yes, same place - Left front corner of the passenger footwell.

From memory 3+ years ago.....
Unplug multiway plug
Remove to 2 10mm/crosshead screws and pull down.

I don't think that the glovebox needs removing but I might be wrong.

It looks a bit like a credit card.
Don't know about the economics of getting one from a scrapyard as it is quite a common fault and I would imagine age related.

Many thanks for the diagnosis. I have just bought a new resistor from Nissan main dealer for £22+vat, which seemed reasonable in view of comments, and will fit it this weekend. Thanks again
