The diagnostic light on my 306 hdi (2001) came on so i took it in for a diagnistic reading. This showed up 3 faults which read:
brake pedal switch (no problem there-probably a light bulb out knowing puegeot electrics)
low oil pressure
and 2 out of 4 injectors not spraying correctly.
I suspected the injectors to be a problem a while ago becasue there is a ticking noise under load from the engine at 3200rpm. The milage of the engine is 170,000 so im wondering what should i do to sort out the problem?
Is it worth getting injectors reconditioned and a new oil pump or look at recon engines?
anyone else had trouble with injectors o hdi's?
cheers

306 brake pedal switch, what a nasty job to do, one of the worst jobs on any car ever, most garages wont touch them & ship them off to a Peugeot dealer then add a bit on to the bill ;-)

as i know i have a problem with 2 injectors im wondering how i can diagnose which 2 they are?
I went to my local diesel specialists who dont seam keen to take on the job as 'the injectors are probably part of the engine now after 170,000' and suggest it would be a pain to get them out.
Has anybody who has swapped injectors got any advice?
Ive seen plenty on ebay and local breakers yards but im unsure of what numbers need to correspond so the ecu doesnt have a problem
whats the best way to go about this.....get mine reconditioned or buy some from somewhere?
cheers
