hi wonder if you can help bought secand hand ford mondeo 1800 diesel n reg but only one key and its not the master its wearing and still opening doors and starting engine but after a spare whats best way of getting spare and recoding it

Hi, assuming your car is worth no more than £400 I would say its best to leave the "chipped" key hidden in the car to get the imbobo activate and get a key cut by any high street locksmith. Its prolly gonna cost about half the value of the car or more to get a new set of keys and the system recoded!

I just had a new remote from the main dealer for a Mk 3 and it cost £131 icl programming.
The bit of metal was a fiver!, the rest was programming and the fob- is a year old car though so hopefully worth it
