is there any way of checking the power steering pump on a 2003 ford focus 1.6?
is there anyway to check its overall condition?

Doesnt leak does it.
Its a very common problem with the focus,but from what i have read they seldom give up on you completely.Ford wanted £200 to replace mine but i never bothered as it only needs a quick wipe every three or four months and the ps fluid as never gone down.

i just thourght it was bit bit niosy but it could just be me!!! my fiesta (previous car to the focus) was a bit noisy aswell and it never let me down! probably just me with it being a new car to me im listening out for things! its only done 15000 miles so i dont think it will go wrong!

Mine failed its MOT on a leaky PAS pump two years ago so beware! Luckily it was covered by the warranty I hadn't really wanted to buy.

did u notice the fluid going down? mines fine and not going down but it might be something for me to watch if that is one of the simptoms!!
