Golf SDI Why not - mark
Anyone any thoughts on the less popular slow but ? less complicated and longliving golf SDI as they are relatively cheap new
Re: Golf SDI Why not - Todd
0-60 in 19 seconds thats why not. Now imagine a holiday trip, with 4 people and luggage on board, and you're stuck behind a tractor which you try to overtake.
Re: Golf SDI Why not - Andrew Barnes
Terribly under powered, noisy and unrefined. Go for the TDI PD 100hp. These can be imported for not much more than the SDI.

On the other hand:

If you dont mind less-than-rapid performance (but ok once up to speed) the SDI is good from a long-term point of view, especially as a workhorse. Less to go wrong (but still electronic control if thats what you are scared of) and cheaper to insure...

TDI 150 would be nicer though!
