Daytime running lights - ian
Late last year Hella announced a "Daytime running lights" kit. My local dealer can't get hold of any., any ideas please.
Re: Daytime running lights - RogerL
Use the light switch. If your dipped headlights are adjusted correctly, they make great daytime running lights.

Or fit larger bulbs in your side lights

Re: Daytime running lights - Tomo
Should be left for the bikers, who will become invisible again if everything is running around with lights.

or buy a Volvo!
Re: Daytime running lights - PhiL P
An excellent idea, until people gain the intelligence to switch on their lights during the daytime when it starts raining or becomes overcast...

What's the harm in making yourself more visible, so long as you're not dazzling oncoming drivers?

How can bikers become invisible simply because everyone has their lights switched on whilst driving?!? You are about to perform a maneouver, see lights approaching and wait, what does it matter whether it's a car or a bike?
Re: Daytime running lights - ian
The main idea of daytime running lights ,is that they are the only lights ON. The tail/side lights are not on, the Hella one's are only 12W. Thanks for the sensible answeres.
Re: Daytime running lights - Graham
Why not run around day after day with your fog lights always on, dazzling everyone like the BMW's do?
