We'd like to help but we'd need to know
- how much you can afford per month
- what size of car you need
- what sort of car you're dreaming of (hatchback, coupe, estate etc)
"Also been a woman" - I'm a little worried....

Do you mean a new car, as in fresh from the showroom, or just new to you personally?

Sorry guys, i should have been more clear....
I would like a 2door convertiable m3, 2ltr my budget of monthly payments is anything from 2-4hundred.
I would buy from showrooms but far tooo expensive, unless of course any special deals about.
so now what my options....

Maybe you meant "Also being a woman"? "Been" is the past tense, which is why I was worried!

Latest model Mx5 leasing figures, over 3 years, around £300/month.
Or far better value, last of old shape, you'll be £200ish.
But it's a big jump from your trusty old car, to something like this. You realy only need to spend £4-7000, for a good Mx5, if you can be persueded!!

Hi Devante,
Can't help too much but when you say you want a "BMW m3 2ltr", do you mean 2.0? as in 2000cc?
I only ask because M3's are considerably faster and bigger than 2.0! (3.0 and 3.2) and there's no such thing as an M3 2.0.
Good luck with the search though,
Adam

just shows how much i know about cars... ;~)
I love M3 always wanted one, the faster the better.... I may get to work on time then ...lol
|
Who wouldn't want an M3?! ;-)
Bit pricey though - at a guess you'd be looking at 20 grand for a halfway decent one.
|
Sounds like you want a 320Ci - similar to the M3 but nowhere near as expensive to own.
|
Wasn't the original M3 a two litre, for touring car racing?

The E30 M3 was a 2.3 4 cylinder although later special editions did increase capacity to 2.5 litres.

Details from here, a few weeks back www.honestjohn.co.uk/news/index.htm?news_id=2917
You'll need some deposit, though not a lot!!

Sorry - I assumed we were talking newish cars although admittedly I didn't know that it started life as a 2.0
|
So i take it no great deals going on at present that any would know about...?
|
i dont mean to sound harsh but if you cant aford a deposit, how will you afford to insure, run and maintain one?

Sorry to cause offence... but having seen too much Little Britain of late, this sounds like a post from someone Walliams et al might come up with. I know it's not but reads that way.
|
Certainly at £300 a month you can afford a used one, but it's likely to be 7 or 8 years old. I'm not convinced that it's wise to go for an M3 after a Golf. The car is an immensely fast 3.2 litre sports car and it's rear wheel drive.
Make sure you can afford insurance (on car and life) before you buy.
