Does anyone have any knowledge of Car Depot supermarket in Hull. They currently have 55 reg 2006 model 2.5 Impreza STi's at £22,495 which seems a good deal. The ad says UK spec but are these likly to be imports? I know the obvious answer is to ask the company but I just wondered if anyone has had any dealings with them. If the experiences were bad then please feel free to email me off forum so as not to break the 'name and shame'policy.
Cheers

Haven't Subaru just said that any car imported through a third party wil not be covered by any manufacturers warranty?

If true, that's certainly worth knowing.

Check the wording. "UK Spec" isn't necessarily the same as "UK model" or "Offical UK import". I'm almost local as well and not heard anything against the dealer. I didn't think that Subaru could void a manufacturers warranty though if gray imported - I thought that was banned in the last few years.

They've recently said they will honour the warranty, but the issue was that Subaru's are imported by an entirely separate company, International Motors (IM), not by (for example) Subaru UK. I presume, therefore, that the issue was that IM are being expected to process warranty claims on cars they never handled (and therefore didn't make any profit from).

Erm, is that Car Depot or Motor Depot?
Here at Motor Depot we are not a franchised dealer allowing us to cut out the middle man and pass on huge savings to our customers! In addition to this our dedicated buying team are capable of sourcing the best available deals on new and used cars throughout Europe and the UK.
So maybe they can come from anywhere?

You're right, Martin, Motor Depot it is. I must be getting old, a senior moment. Maybe I should get a Volvo instead.
