I`ve just had a quote from Esure that beats my renewal from Axa by £100. Are they any good? Has anyone had to use them?

I got a quote from them this week. Second lowest but with best no claims protection and lowest excess. I will probably go with them. I work in insurance - not with Esure - but they are owned by Halifax/Bank of Scotland and set up by Peter Wood, the guy who founded Direct Line. They do not use an insurer, I think they used to use Churchill, but have set up their own insurance company. Solid company so they are OK.
The lowest quote was from Royal Sun Alliance but with £200 excess.
Like you I would be interested to know of others who have joined them.

I moved from AXA to esure as they beat the AXA quote by £20
Then I needed a green card- it cost over £20 - it would have been free with AXA
