The car u can buy cheapest and then sell with the biggest margin,TVR springs to mind, start with at least a £5000 margin, after warranty costs u might do quite well.

You did ask about buying and selling from home 2 days ago (buying+selling for a profit) and presumably have decided to try it.

You did get a mix of opinions before, including one, slightly 'direct' reply suggesting that if know very little about it then perhaps you should think again.
Todays post seems to suggest that you haven't given it too much thought otherwise your questions would have been a bit more specific. It's a bit like asking...How long's a piece of string? or What job can I do to earn me a fortune?

Most people would obviously tell you to start off small and stay legal. It's not difficult to sell a small, cheap, decent car - but getting a regular supply of same is another matter.

Are you really serious - if so your email address is going to put most prospective purchasers off, I'd have thought - the Porsche 911 Carrera is a touch specialist to start off with. You're not winding the panel up are you?
Some of the contributors here are a font of good useful, practical knowledge and give their opinions and advice freely, but sometimes they feel they're being taken for a ride.

Anyway I imagine others her will give you a few ideas. I'd be interested to know what you do with them.

I don't know much, but a friend of mine is a trained mechanic and a highly experienced buyer and seller of cars. Take is from me, you don't go into this trade without a great deal of knowledge, experience, expertise, cash and guts.
Without these you will almost certainly get serverly stung!

eg. above mentioned firend brought a new VW passat salon recently at auction, had it HPI checked as well. It turned out that some where along the way the car had been impounded at Dover docks (used to be a smugglers car) and the HPI failed to detect this data as it was so recent or had note been registered with the National Police Database. He is fighting it out with the HPI right now.
