Where to Buy used LHD BMW in Germany - Steve Newton
Has anyone got any good details of web sites in germany (trade or private) where I could look for secondhand LHD BMW Turbo Diesel Touring - 3 or 5 series?
Or a list of Germany dealers e-mail addresses?
Or other suggestions?

A similar question was posted last week. The best site offered was www.autoscout24.de. You can select english text from the side menu (certainly helps!).
I have regularly used www.used-cars-germany.de but its currently undergoing a rebuild.

Sorry. Missing the point here. These cars are cheaper in Holland or even Belgium by the time you travel back to the UK.
Anyway, they are left hand drive.
I don't think the savings on second hand cars are really worth it. New yes.
FREE INFO. The alloys on the old 5 series are an exact fit in the new 3 series.

Well the dutch come to germany to buy second hand BMW and to Italy for Mercs.Holland is only cheap for damaged motors, youcould buy twosecond hand BMW in Germany for the cost of one in the UK.I was there at the beginning of Jan and was amazed at the prices dreamland compared with Germany or Italy. In fact the EU commission on new car prices in Europe has found not including theUK up 28% difference throughout member states and the UK was between 10 and 30% above the highest of everybody elses prices .You can buy a Rover 75 in Dresden for under 9000ukps a fully loaded Mondeo combi for 12000ukps and we are dear.

Thanks for your help. I was looking for a LHD version, my logic being that as cars are cheaper in Europe, then LHD would be even cheaper (easier to get hold of, higher availability, cross-border purchasing etc) .... and thus the second hand prices would be correspondingly less.
I am not so concerned about having a LHD car in the UK (I am deaf in my left ear, which makes conversation with front seat passengers difficult in RHD cars when I am driving) - not so convenient for automated car parks, or road views when overtaking of course

If used BMW's are cheaper in Holland or Belgium, then I need to look at web sites in these countries too, to get an idea of approx prices .... and now the Euro's here, comparison would be even easier .... anybody know other good web sites for Holland/Belgium??
