Re: Personal Import Co? - Marcus
Just had a look at their site, some prices seem extremely keen - I know there is Vat on top but: Ford Focus TDCi 115 BHP Zetec 5 dr. Reflex Pack Full UK spec. ?12,677 (Tax Free)a Focus for less than £9000 is very cheap indeed, don't forget a lot of cars are built in spain now.

No knowledge of this company but just one bit of advice, pay your deposit by Visa. If it goes tits up (which is not unknown) you will have some comeback.
Re: Personal Import Co? - terry
My daughter imported a puma with this company. Full spec, no problems,
saved a bomb, picked the car up in this country - Southampton. Adrian or Rupert are the guys to speak to, very nice and helpful. Didn't use visa, all transactions were made via bank transfers. Would throughly recommend this company, they answered all my questions (and I asked a lot) and I will try to buy my next car with them.
I should get commission for this!!
Re: Personal Import Co? - Tony Capps
I have just imported a new BMW using E U Car Imports (www.eucarimports.co.uk). I can thoroughly recommend them. You will deal with the dealer directly (not via a third party) when it comes to money. Car arrived two weeks early. It all went like clockwork.
Re: Personal Import Co? - Andy Armstrong
Has anyone imported a Focus Ghia? Is it the full UK spec? Thinking of buying one from TradeSales in Slough but want the full monty on the spec (2.0 Ghia has a load of extra bits).
Advice happily received.

p.s. Tony Capps (above) managed to shear the tyre of his brand new 330ci within 2 days on the wall of his drive, teehee.....
Re: Personal Import Co? - ian (cape town)
Andy, that was extremely nasty... but also quite funny!
Schadenfreud indeed!
Like the guy here who took his brand new renault out to "try it out", and got nailed at 180 in a 100 zone ... OUCH!
Re: Personal Import Co? - Tony Capps
Not to mention the fact that the only reasoin Andy is looking for a new car is that he has just written his Rover off! At least my problem was just a tyre (no rim damage). He only did it 'cos he was jealous and wanted a new car as well.
Re: Personal Import Co? - ian (cape town)
Fight, fight, fight!
Re: Personal Import Co? - Andy Armstrong
No bitterness here........
The fact Tony wouldn't sell me his old 323ci for £10k is not the point ;-)

Had a snail-mail letter from someone today who bought a Spanish import Focus Zetec with metallic paint, reflex pack, climate pack and stereo upgrade to a CD6006 for £10,700 including first registration fee and 12 months VED. They're at www.europsave.com (if this doesn't work, try .co.uk, etc. The reader didn't include that part of the URL). Phone number is 01256 398822.
