Don't think you can diy plates anymore. The new regs state that the post code of the "maker" of the plate must be displayed on it.

No plate makers still make them anyway you want,but write on the invoice 'sign not for road use' makes them feel better.

I was horrified to find the post code of the plate maker on one done for the Land Rover, it spoilt the look of the plate. Do the authorities really think the "bad boys" will have any trouble getting plates.

When do the authorities ever think anything through?Just look at the scrap cars and abandoned fridges littering the countryside.Gov knows best.
